There is so little fjord traffic that the water surface had frozen: the boat's wake pushed water, broken ice, and air under and over the sheet ice - it looked amazing
The harbour at Flåm - and a village closed until the season starts again in May!
There had been 15 of us on the ferry, but 4 stayed in Flåm, so just 11 of us on the train up the mountain. The track took 20 years to build: 18 tunnels all cut by hand - each metre took a month to cut!
